My husband has had clusters since he was 18 years old.  He is now 52.  He has just discovered Zomig Nasal Spray 5 mg.  It is a medication for migraines.  My step father who is 65 years old started having clusters about 3 years ago.  He started taking this and it STOPS THEM!  So my husband got a script and they are working miracles!  You need to use it the minute you get "that feeling" that one is coming on.  You may still get it but it won't be as bad and won't last as long.  Insurance doesn't want to pay for more than 6 vials in a month and the cost is around $278.00 for 6.  My husband is on his 3rd box.  He has been having his for over a month now and one night he had 5.  He is completely worn out and ready for them to cease.  Anyway, thought this might help some of you.  You should give it a try!

Zomig is appreciated by many of our folks and your doc can intercede with the ins to get more, as needed (explore OUCH site, left buttons, for guidance).

I hope that the doc has given a preventive med. The frequency  of attacks surely demands it.
