Hello...want to say hello to everyone that suffers from this god awful illness. I havent been to this board in many years. I was a chronic CH sufferer for about 17 years...then they went episodic for a few years then I became CH free for about 2 years.
Over the past weeks I began getting shadows again and today about a KIP 4. My stress is building as I no longer have my O2 and no medical ins any longer and am out of work due to the economy. So just wanted to say hello to the community cause I might be around for a while. |

Sorry you need us, but glad you remembered where we live. Until you can get some O2 I would recomend energy drinks with taurene. They work nearly as fast as O2 for me, just hard on the stomach, and I'm sure have other probs long term.

Sounds like what happened to me.! went in remision for 7 years. THEN....Back like a bomb. since has been every 2 years, and this time I had shadows for 2 weeks, and just hoped that they would not come on ...HA Now this year, I read here about Melatonin, and it has helped me tons. I think If I had taken it during those two weeks, maybe....just maybe I would have kept them at shadows, or at least kept them down to a kip 2 or 3. You may want to try the Melatonin. especially with the lack of insurance. Good luck. lorac |

Hell - life's a bummer - unemployed and the beast - like being kicked when you're down.
Try Lorac's suggestion - Melatonin - 9mgs per night - cheap, little in the way of side effects and works for some of us. Here's hoping you get PF days soon |

Thanks for all the replies...I will have to try the energy drinks. Thats something I never have tried.
I did take the melatonin years ago when I was in my chronic state and it just made the monster more angry. But now over they years I know my body has changes as have my cycles so Ill give it a shot and see how it goes thanks. |
