Can't be. Spiritous liquors had not yet been invented when Charlie went to school.

Pizza, approaching lethal weapon status, can no longer be used to beat your kids with.

Mike

P.S. It's Fox news, so obviously it can't be true.  [smiley=wink.gif]

Our senior project in Chemistry -- we made a still and ran off a pint of moonshine..... of course the TEACHER confiscated our BREW (to test it for us! yeah right) and pronounced it fit to drink.... (he NEVER knew how much we absconded with before he confiscated the "rest" of the batch!!! ::) and WE never told him! - got an A on the project!)...

Then there was that brick of sulphur... well the fire dept had a fun day with that after we found out you don't spray it with water.... especially outside -- it sorta sprays all over the side of the schoolhouse... makes a LOT of noise...

But back in those days -- we had to MAKE our FUN....

Gee an people wonder why I am so mean as to say sometimes kids really do need spanked to get their attention. And they need their attention got when they run in front of cars on a busy road or play with the oven!!!! I am not an advocate of beating children but in Denmark I am very unpopular with my ideas of a swat or two on the behind for attention getting. And the death penalty for horrible criminals.... OMG I had to stop saying I was pro choice here because they were gonna try it on me! Gee guess the good old days when you could make your kids behave are over and now they rob old people, car jack you, steal your rent money to buy drugs and you cant even swat them on the butt. How annoying!

Then of course there's the easy way....Do what gramps did: Get a barrel of cider, through in bunch of sugar and wait.

Yeah, Charlie, but ya gotta admit - it kept us "out of mischief" (for a while at least).  :-/
