Hello all,

My name is Lawrence. I've been here before, but its been a long time since I posted here. I frequent this board weekly though.
I'm 31, been having CH since I was in middle school as a kid, so i'm familiar with the beast.
Right now I am in a cycle thats been going on since April.
My cycles usually last two months of every year, in the spring, with daily one-hit wonders of a KIP-10-- then they go away, but this year, the beast has stayed with me a little longer than normal.

Hate to say this, but i try not to come to this message board, sometimes it seems like just thinking about CH, or being reminded of them helps bring them back...
I take Verapamil, 480 to 600 mg a day when in cycle.
I take Imitrex injections to abort the beast at work.
I HAVE NO OXYGEN.
I see my neuro tomorrow being. I have to tell him that I need O2 for my home. Right now I have to abort all my big hits with triptans.

Good luck at the neuro's...Maybe if you print off some info about the O2,and take to the dr. you will get some.
    Read through the info here, and go armed with lots of good knowledge.
   I would rather use the air, than so many drugs.

Please see my post O2 for Aussies......there MUST be some similar setup in the USA for you......Very best of luck to ya mate   ;)

Check with Pete to see how the RX needs to be written so you get the RIGHT regulator and a nonrebreather mask. You'll need a regulator that goes to at least 15-25 liters per minute and the RIGHT mask (on the left at the ch.com store you can order the RIGHT one). That's the secret of the O2 working properly. It beats the heck out of trex and is SO much better for you.

Well, I got my O2, the guys delivered me a nice big H tank a few days ago. I I also have an Optimask I ordered a few days ago from the CH store on here.
So far, i've been able to abort most of my incoming hits using 15 liters a minute with my optimask.

Lawrence, that's great news!

Many of us rely on only O2 as an abortive.  It's cheap, and there aren't some of the awful side effects that prescribed triptans or other abortives can do to damage your body.

Great news!

Get yourself a higher flow rate regulator (and learn to breathe fast and deep) and just you may change your
"most" to "almost all" hits.
