Hello all.

My Daemon returned with the spring and interestingly has been getting worse as the summer goes on. Generally starts with ear ringing and progresses from there. Initially only tinnitus, however as time has passed I have started to get the ice pick. The throbbing behind the right eye. The knife in the eye, the regular stuff.

This has culminated this month with some really god awful zingers and this parallels last year when my worst dances occurred in late July and August. The KIP's getting up there, some side shifting, really weird stuff.

Interestingly I have found that the entrance to my right ear canal (CH side) REALLY hurts after an episode. Anyone notice this?

Could this be due to bruxism when I am stressing during an attack?

Has anyone systematically tracked their CH events on a daily basis over an extended period of time as a function of intensity?

I have tracked my attacks over both episodes. It tells the whole story. See attached.

I have ear pain as well which has gotten worse over the years until it it even present sometimes when I'm not in a cycle. I have had x-rays, ct scans, dental checks, etc, to make sure it wasn't anything else but so far, all tests are negative. It makes me feel like they think I am just a complainer or crazy. The Verapamil has helped my ear pain some. I am still not convinced that that nothing else is going on, however, so many weird sensations are involved with my clusters, it is hard to distinguish sometimes. I feel like when a doctor looks in my ear, they should see something terrible, but they always say it looks fine. Hope that helps.

I have been trying to chart them over time as a function of number and intensity over 12 months and I find that during July and particularly August they are more frequent and they get worse in intensity. The last two weeks of August especially so.

My ear pain is intense. It hurts as I am typing this. This phenomena is usually presaged by tinnitus.

If I stick my finger in my right ear the whole area around auditory canal, particularly at the entrance REALLY hurts! If it put pressure downward or to the side it feels like a pick is being driven into my head.

If I use the telephone during these periods on that side (right) it feels like the phone is blasting in my head.

The not so funny thing is is that this is new phenomena.
I had tinnitus last year but not this nonsense with my ear canal.
