Don't install shit, Chuck.

Go to microsoft.com and see if their website confirms any of this. Then use a patch from them, nobody else.

I was getting those messages on my computer for awhile.  DO NOT install anything!  Close all windows and run anti-virus program, c-cleaner, spy-bot, etc.

know off topic but hope this help!

Best program ever if you are ever worried about potential virus is sandboxie !
And if your looking for anti virus NOD32 no questions worth every penny is in a league of its own
as far as spy-ware goes, best set up is  ad aware free works fine,  in addition  piggyback with spyware blaster, and spybot search and destroy. (did a lot of research to find best set up, and in 4 years I've never had a virus or spy-ware

Haha the Nigerians come up with new scams daily. Had a co worker who cashed the check he got for 40k and when things came to light the bank was asking for the 40k to be payed back. To bad he had brought it to work in a satchel bragging I tried to explain the situation, sadly the ignorant co worker went on a shopping spree and was gone in a week.

Hey Chuckles, just because you're paranoid it doesn't mean you're not being followed.

I downloaded one of those, ONCE! Screwed everything up, Dell Support made it better.
Dell asked us not to download any of these as it will do bad things to our computer, and gave us an anti-spyware that works great. :)

I used to try and take these sort of things seriously. But I think that I'll just wait until Microsoft develops a computer operating system before I play with it again. Its not like you can do anything really usefull with it after all.

What Frickin Bank was that? I want to make sure I never bank with those idiots..
I've heard of banks that have cashed these checks for a grand or two, but 40grands, in cash and not be suspicious? Most banks around here would only give you a few dollars if that until the check cleared - they even hold insurance checks for 5 days...

Rule of thumb

If you get something requesting information or anything, from someone whose return address is from someone you do not know, DO NOT REPLY.

Our banks, our doctors, credit card companies ,hell even the IRS does NOT contact us via e-mail ,skype, or any other internet access.

If it don't come by snail mail, dump it.

Sandy.

Hey ya Chuck, not only is it a scam... block that user on Skype, so they don't try sending you any more garbage like that.

Anytime you get a message like that, close it and run your anti-virus. I get those occasionally,  on the weather website I use.
