I hated Ted's politics, and wanted him out of office, but I did not want him to die.

Politics has gotten about as appealing as a colonoscopy. I feel sorry for young types that never saw the earlier Kennedys. They made it fun. You had to be there. No one laughs anymore. Charlie |

It really is a sad day. Camelot is gone. As Charlie said - you just had to be there.
I'm sad for his family. His wife is a cousin of a very good friend of mine and my heart goes out to her. It's sad also that an era has closed. The day when politics COULD be fun - you could disagree and still be friends. From what the news is saying - Teddy was the last hold out for that. RIP Teddy. Regardless of your politics - you will be missed... |
