I could not agree with you more.  Some people seem to like...aw never-mind.

I was/am...on a donor list as of several years ago.  I assume I still am.   I also assume some people cannot,  for whatever reason donate.  I also know this hits you especially hard Sean. 

I agree with Bob that having to pay is like a slap in the face, but I'd gladly cough up anything if I thought it could help one child.  I know there are good people out there that would also.

I couldn't agree with you more Sean... however I am Gay and excluded from donating marrow.

My heart breaks to see this child and family suffer... and I urge everyone to do what they can to help.

I've had Hep, can't donate.  Flat broke because I'm helping my daughter.

I have apparently passed the "best before" date.  Age cut off is 60.

Sending prayers and hopeful wishes that someone is able to help this child.

Well to be fair the I'm gay thread is not on Face book -  ;)
But I am sure that is not your point. Message Passed On, on Face book - shared and tried to sign up - but I have had surgery in the last 12 months so I am out.

BUT THE WORD IS GETTING OUT!!!!

I don't have the time to list what is wrong with me.

However, i shared it on Facebook.  I can not donate blood but I will see if I can be a bone marrow donor.

Frankly speaking, I can not donate due to my own medical issues.

I have lost a child of my own and know what that kind of pain is like.  So obviously my prayers are with them!!

I tend not to post in areas where I do not have much of anything to contribute. 

I have sent them my prayers even before I posted in that area.  Personally I think that counts more than a measly post which offers no real help other than a prayer.  I can do that in private and on my own time without having to post about it and waist someone elses time.

The FDA Food and Drug Administration.

Even though I cannot donate, I found out that my son is already on the list, and my daughter and my ex-wife are now going to get on the list.

So, your post HAS had an effect!  There ARE people who truly care, and ARE doing something about it!

Keep shouting out about it, and the word will keep getting spread.  Soon, a match will show up!

I just sent my application to the Canadian Blood Services. The are to respond in about ten days to deem me fit or unfit to be a donner.
I hope I am accepted. :) :)

Great news about the 90% match donor!!

This from the "Saving Jacob" Facebook page:
"Great news we heard from the hospital that they have found a donor that is 90% match. This the best possible scenario next to having a sibling match. This will greatly reduce the odds of the graft vs. host disease. All we know is it is a 29 year old male that has recently had his blood work tested and has agreed to follow through with the transplant.

We will be meeeting with the Transplant team next Wed. the 2nd to find out the next step in preparation for the transplant.

We appreciate all the love and support through this process. The number of people who have shown interest in being a donor has been simply amazing. We ask that even though we have been blessed with this great news, that anyone interested in ordering their kits please do so if they haven't already. There are many people that are in Jacob's situation that can be blessed with a donor as well."

That's awesome. What's also great is that X number more people can benefit as a result of all the people that registered for Jacob.
