So my Mom suffers from Migraines...has for many years.  She does the whole Imitrex thing...pills and then if it gets too bad or doesn't abort they go into the ER for a shot.  Well she did just that, instead this time it didn't go away.  She was given Dilaudid in the ER which didn't seem to help either.  SO she decided she had had enough and made an appointment with her family doc...who she has seen for as long as I can remember.  She had that appt. today.

I called her about 30 minutes ago and asked her how it went.  She told me he diagnosed her with Clusters.  I didn't know whether to laugh or cuss...because of his idiocracy...either one would have landed me on the phone by myself (she probably would have hung up).  So, I went along with it, asking her distinctive questions pertaining to the diagnosis of Clusters...all answered No No No...

Some of you know I don't have the best of relationships with my Mom..so I opted for an email approach.  I sent her the link of Chuck on YouTube, I sent her the link to the traits of Clusters, I sent her the Cluster Quiz and lastly I sent her a few links regarding the Relpax that the doc prescribed for her.  (It concerns me that she is on a form of Triptan with her high blood pressure).  I KNOW she has chronic migraine headaches, NOT clusters.

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.  Earlier this week I found an old family friend of mine.  She read through my Facebook profile, finding info on Moyamoya.  She freaked...come to find out, her future mother-in-law was diagnosed here in Wichita two weeks ago with Moyamoya.  They didn't have a clue what to do, that INCLUDES the doctors.  They told her (Sandy, the mom-in-law) she was too old for surgery.  After I talked to Kenny, her husband, on the phone for 45 minutes, they have cancelled their second opinion in Dallas and they are now awaiting a phone call from Stanford.

If I ever doubted that what I'm doing with my life was the wrong thing..God just helped me know otherwise.

Sorry for the long story...I'm just blown away by all of these coincidences.  God works in mysterious ways!!!

You have educated yourself and are wise beyond your years Steph, as well as having a heart of gold!

We all adore you, and it does appear as though your life has been set to a purpose. 

Just don't loose sight of that.  Many things will try to muddy the waters, but you are too smart for that.

Steph - it is spooky when stuff like that happens. I have had similar things happen and it just reaffirms my belief that we're all given the things in life we need to make us who we are - the good AND the bad stuff so that one day, when the time is right - we're the right person for the job, whatever that may be.
