Or he'll take them hunting!

I think Holder wants them all. God forbid an agent does what he's asked to do and then has to find a Lawyer.
Let's get on with more important issues like depriving farmers of water so we can protect the Smelt.

If they do go after Darth, it will be his own damned fault. For eight years he hid out in his bunker and said nothing of value. Now we can't get him to shut up. "Those who are pushing for legal action against CIA agents may talk about 'upholding the law' but they are doing no such thing. Neither the Constitution of the United States nor the Geneva Convention gives rights to terrorists who operate outside the law. There was a time when everybody understood this. German soldiers who put on American military uniforms, in order to infiltrate American lines during the Battle of the Bulge were simply lined up against a wall and shot -- and nobody wrung their hands over it. Nor did the U.S. Army try to conceal what they had done. The executions were filmed and the film has been shown on the History Channel." --economist Thomas Sowell

I believe that no one would give a shit either if a bona fide 100% Islamic terrorist was caught and put up against a wall and shot..and rightly so...!

But in here lies your problem, many of these guys were innocent, tortured and dumped in Guantanamo Bay for years. The world of Intelligence is a very dirty business, many of these guys are quite happy to work beyond the law.

For years in N.Ireland the MI5 and MI6 in order to protect their informants decided what shootings and bombings took place, therefore deciding who lived and who died. Off course politicians knew they just chose to look the other way.

I have spoken with many people who have been tortured by the British in Castlereagh holding centre in Belfast. These guys would have sold their mother just to get the pain to stop, in other words what they wanted to hear, they got. Some of these guys still feel ashamed off that today, but hey torture is torture.

In order to hold on to some moral standing on this war on terror, keeping our intelligence community and politicians within check is not a bad thing. Otherwise we become as fanatical and non-moral as them and sure then what's the f*@king point..!

Son, we live in a world that has walls and those walls need to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and curse the Marines; you have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives and that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use then as the backbone of a life trying to defend something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest that you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

Declared wars tend to be a little looser but that aside, this kind of thing goes on all the time and always has. The difference is that Bush/Cheney made it worse by trying show that it's legal. It's not.

It might even work now and then but defending it as they did made it a great recruitment tool for our enemies. I wonder how many people were killed because of it. Shut up rather than try to justify it as something good.

How dumb can one get?......oh Bush.....

the methods used under the Bush/Cheney administration were nothing new and that had not been done in the past by other administrations.  The only difference is that President Bush took the trouble of making it a legal decision that was backed up by the Justice Dept.  The tactics used in Viet Nam under the Johnson administration make what is done at Gitmo look like a Kindergarten recess program.

Since when is putting a bug in a box with a man torture?  That is a lot better than putting a man's head in a cage with a rat like was done under Johnson.
