My husband's neurologist just prescribed him prednisone, vaspiral (sp?), and imitrex injections. Can anyone tell me if these medications will help the clusters? Or what side effects to expect? I was reading about prednisone and the effects were quite scary. He is only on it for ten days to taper them so I don't know if the side effects will get him. Please any info would be appreciated!

I assume you meant verapamil.

Go to the Medications board - there's all sorts of stuff on these meds.

Don't know if they'll help your husband. Only one way to find out. They sure have helped a lot of folks around here, but not all.
