Title: Understanding Verapimal
Post by Wabi Sabi on Sep 4th, 2009 at 11:33pm
So... if I understand this right. I am taking Prednisone(Transient) to help with my CH until the Verapimal (Preventive) builds up in my system to take over. In the mean time I have the Imitrex injections to temporarily injure the beast into submission.

If I have any of this wrong, please tell me.

So, a question which because its late and I can't call my Neurologist, do I stop taking Verapimal once my cycle has ended? Reading about the side effects I really don't want to take this all the time. My CH are only for about 2-3 month periods.

That would appear to be your doctor's plan.  ;)

Oh you need not worry about that. Anytime someone is wrong here...they hear about it.  ;D

Yes...most people would stop the Verap after the cycle has ended. Consult with your doc before changing any medication.
