Hi
I have had CH for over 20 year´s. And i am starting now after 2 year stop. I have taking all those medicine out there and some time so strong that my wife could not talk to me after.
But I am wondering for those who have not found the medicine that works for them. Have you asked your doctor for Imigran ,the one with the needle. I must tell you this medicine worked for me. After the pane comes i inject it in to my body and the pain is gone after 5 - 10 min. I am telling you this because no one should have to go through this kind of pain.
For the first year´s I asked God what I had done to deserve this kind of pain. Try this it works.

Fortunately, this medication has been very popular and widely used for several years in the U.S.. It's is also available in a nasal spray and pill form (although the pill is not very effective for cluster headache).

Agreeing with Potter,  you do want to check out the Oxygen information on the link over to the left.

Imigran/Imitrex is well known here, and yes, it's quite effective, but there is some debate that it may help to prolong a cycle.  Oxygen, at high flow rates and with the right mask is very effective for 70% or more sufferers, and has no known side effects.

Please check it out as an abortive, and do look at the medications linked to by Bob Johnson.  There are some very good preventive medications there.
