Boy, am I SCREWED!!

Many people have given me their phone numbers, over the years.  I have them all in my cell phone.  I kept telling myself that I need to make a list of them, or transfer them into my laptop.

BUT, I kept putting it off.  After all, even if I can't transfer them over to a new phone (when I decide to get one), I could always just go into the phone and manually enter them into my new phone.  Right?

WRONG !! !! 

I failed to take into account that maybe something would happen to my phone so that I could not even turn it on!

Well, it happened!  While away on a business trip, something happened and the phone is totally dead!  Not only did it suck, so that I could not communicate, in a timely fashion, with my work headquarters, I have now lost ALL the phone numbers!  Some of those numbers are the only way I have to get in touch with the person.

I am SO SCREWED!!

Now, I have a favor to ask.  If you have ever given me your phone number, whether it is your home, work, or cell number (or all of them), could you send me a PM to give it to me again?

I know some of you are saying: "GOOD!  Now that $hithead can't call me anymore!"

But, the rest of you, please take pity on a senile old fart, and resend me your number(s)!  And anyone that has not given me your number, in the past, and want to do so now, PLEASE send me a PM!

Rookie mistake, dude.

Many cell phone companies offer a contact list backup service, and you can do it yourself. It's a matter of finding out how from your provider, and it uploads your entire contact list and stores it on their computer. Some folks even do it automatically.

Sucks to be you right now. I feel your pain.

Hell, I have a hard enough time remembering my OWN numbers ....

Besides, I am one of those that has to open his wallet, and check his driver's license, just to remember what my name is ...
