Hi - I am new to this message board.  I am in my second week off work with a cluster headache.  Since taking 2 x Imitrex nasal sprays about 5 days ago I have not had the severe pain in my head/temple/eye but a headache from hell (and pain in my neck) - it seems to start one side of my head/eye then i have a little relief and then starts again on the other side.  My last cluster was 4 years ago (I foolishly thought - they'd gone forever!!) Has anyone else experienced anything similar as I don't remember this happening before? Many thanks.

More important than what we have experienced--have you talked with your doctor? Who did the initial diagnosis?

This likely an odd variation on CH but the alternatives need to be ruled out.

Hi, unfortunately I lived in the US when I was diagnosed - have been to docs here in the UK though (last week) - just made another appointment for this afternoon though!  Thank you for your reply.

To be honest I have never heard anyone mention this sudden shift of sides before. Have a wee look at the cluster traits and quiz to the left hand side of your screen. Read as much as you can about clusters from this site so you can approach your Doc appointment with a better understanding of cluster headaches.
