I just got off the phone with Bob's daughter, he had a heart attack earlier today.
He is resting comfortably in the hospital, I don't have the details of much.
Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois.

The conference will go ahead this weekend as planned.
Bob wouldn't be happy if it didn't.

  Am sure he won't have patience with docs he doesn't trust and will be researching any treatments/meds he receives.  .  . am hopeful whatever caused the attack can be remedied.

Latest update, I'm going to just copy most of what Bob's daughter sent me.  :-)

Good News. Just got off the phone with my dad. He seems to be doing well and feels a lot better. Hes still on some morphine for his headaches. Hes waiting to get the balloon out of his leg in hopefully about an hr or so. They are even talking about a release date of tomorrow but that may be my dads wishful thinking haha...but that would be nice, Im sure he cant wait to go home. I let him know everything you guys are stepping up and doing and he definitely appreciates it. I told him he has nothing to worry about except getting himself better. Everyones thoughts and prayers are most definitely being answered..............


If you can let the rest of the group know hes doing well I would appreciate it. I let him know everyone was thinking of him.............
It means the world to me he has so many people in his corner. He definitely is an extraordinary man! Thanks again!

Thank you so much for keeping us updated.  I treid calling the hospital but unfortunately since he was in Critical Care I was unable to speak with him.  Bob, I told your nurse to hand you a message...I hope he did.  DJ and I are thinking and praying for you to get well soon. (If you didn't want to do the conference all you had to do was tell Doug no... )  ;)  Looking forward to chatting with you soon!

Thank you all for the well wishes, Bob's family has read these and asked me to pass on their thanks.

In an email this morning I'm told Bob is doing very well.
So well that me may be released from the hospital in the next day, possibly sooner.
The attack was not as serious as first thought and he is recovering nicely.    :)

Rumor has it that stubborn Bob plans on being at the conference this weekend.

Did I mention he is stubborn?

Just got home.
Thansk to Doug for posting and keeping everyone updated. I guess it was time for my September tune up. Third year in a row that I spent the first/second week in the ICU.
I needed a third stent installed!!

No headache problems other than what was caused by the nitro they foisted upon me without my knowledge. Guess it was worth it though as it was a great excuse to be teaching them all about cluster headaches for 4 days LOL.

Thanks very much to every one for your thoughts prayers, posts and calls. It means a lot to me and it meant a lot to my family.

I will be at the conference. Between room service, my family and Doug, I won't be allowed to even think of overdoing it, I'm sure.
