Title: Tempting the Beast
Post by Weatherman on Sep 17th, 2009 at 5:50pm
Shouldn't do it!

I mentioned on a few threads yesterday that this current cycle was unlike any I had ever had before because it was so light. Only 1 CH per day, only K4/5 and never at night. I was feeling very fortunate indeed! Havn't needed any treatment at all.
Well, I shouldn't have opened my big fat mouth. Last night I got hit hard right after I went to sleep. Then again every time I got back to sleep. 5 in all. It was quite the rough night. All K7 and up too. Have had 3 more so far today.
The Beast says, "don't mess with me!" Ok, back on the Kudzu, Taurine & Melatonin plus stocking back up on the O2.
>:( Man I hate the Beast! Thanks for letting me rant!

Rant away my cluster-brother.  That's what this place is for.

I hope the beasts trantum is short lived and you get some rest soon.

In the mean time, kick his MF ass!!!

Read it, thanks! I'll give it a try. I actually had very good luck last night with 12mg of melatonin. The taurine is working on the shadows so far this am too. We'll see!

You should have at least knocked on wood feverishly for a few minutes after having said that! :D

You're right. Learned a tough lesson with that one for sure. What a strange cycle. Started a routine yesterday that has worked for me in the past. Kudzu & Taurine. Usually take 9mg's of melatonin before bed bad after the rough previous night I decided to take 12 mg's. Went to bed fearing the worst. Next thing I remember it was the next morning. No CH's! Then just a few shadows today. My routine has worked before but never that fast! (knocking on wood now!). I've always been so predictable but I don't know what the hell is going on this time. Oh well, hoping for more success tonight!!!  ;D

Ah man W-man, I hear ya bro!  I've done this "tempting" thing before and for some reason the beast knows.
I usually give him a week and then I do the beer test to be sure he has left.  I'm stuck at the moment without O2 and I can't do abortives because i'm gobbling up seeds tomorrow night to give that bastard a go blow to the face :)

Sigh, yes, sounds so familiar. Just when you have a routine that consistently works....

This is why I think it's practically critical to have contingency plans well researched and ready to put into action. Oh sheesh why did I go and say that? Beast now preparing to defeat bejeeber's contingencies

I believe i'm in the same boat.  I went 4 days cluster free and med free.  I got to work this morning with
a slight so called sinus pressure pain which ended up being shadows and turned into a K5 at work without meds.  So I left work and as soon as I got home, the beast left.  Now, i'm back at work feeling great with my meds (just in case).  I'm just hoping this was a random hit at the end of a cycle.  I will never assume again that i'm in remission and I will NEVER EVER come to work w/o meds.

Every time I allow myself to think, "maybe I won't have a cycle this time" I'm almost doomed to have one fire up within the subsequent 48 hours.  Each cycle I learn a little bit more and feel like I'm able to manage my life a little better until they go away for a while.
