I figure there'd be no CH related reason not to get a flu shot, but thought I'd throw it out there just in case.

[Edit]: Actually, hmmmm....now that I've said that, there has been recent discussion of how a bout with the flu can stop a CH cycle....

I know I'll seek out a mercury free version of the vaccine if I get one. The most conservative medical establishment may claim it's OK to be injected with mercury, but I'm calling BS on that. :)

Back in 04 i got the flu shot, then a couple of days later i got strep throat, went to the doctor and he gave me penicillin. About 2 weeks later the strep was gone.. and so was my remission. my clusters came back about a week after the penicillin.

I get a flu shot every year. Has never been an issue positive or negative with CH. I never get the flu either.

I won't. I rarely get the flu, and I never get a shot. Since the H1N1 flu isn't actually much worse than the 'usual' flu, I don't think there's reason for me to get a shot.

I benefit more from a trex shot.

Never gotten nor will I get a Flu shot!

I hardly ever get the flu, I think the last time I had it was about 6 years ago and had it bad that time.

My main concern with catching the flu either from the shot or otherwise is taking my daily medication, if I can't keep it down [smiley=eek5.gif] I'd be screwed.

I have no faith in the FDA,,,so no flu shot for me...It was just concocted way to fast for proper testing. just my opinion. :)

Since I have 3 kids, I work some in a school, and my wife is in health care..... we get flu shot every year. This year we did the nasal version and it was fine.

Never seen a CH connection.

I have gotten the regular flu shot for years and never gotten the flu with the shot. I missed a shot for one year and I got the flu and my ch was much more frequent and intense. I am not getting the H1N1 shot. My husband works in the health industry and from what I hear there is a severe shortage of the shot. Not everyone is a canadate for the shot. They determine it by age and its not like the normal flu shot criteria. Also they did whip it up rather suddenly and not have alot of time for testing. I will not be taking it.

This is a tough call for me, because the FLU has plenty of side effects too, some of which I've found can can be permanent.

Whenever I get a flu shot I avoid the flu. Back in '96 or so I remember telling a chiropractor I was going to get a flu shot and she went off on how horrible they were blah blah, so I was influenced by her and didn't get one.

I DID get the flu though, and chronic sinus symptoms have plagued me ever since that bout.

Then a couple years ago I had an approx. 50 year old neighbor lady who caught the flu and her side effect was death.
