Title: 39 had a heart attack and the beast came back Post by beerbarge on Sep 28th, 2009 at 12:40am
So I had a heart attack. Seems the Nitroglycerin may have triggered this cycle. Beast came back with a vengence out of nowhere last Tuesday. Lots of ringing in the ears this time.
I didn't think it was a CH at first. Seems now it switched sides. For the last 10 years when I'd get CHs' my left side would get hit. Now it's my right. Very odd. Saturday night I actually got initially hit briefly on the left again(what woke me up) only for it to hit my right full blown an hour later. Do to my heart I'm now on a bunch of meds. Plavix, Lipitor & Lo Pressor (beta blocker) & Lisinopril (ASE inhibitor). I'm curious if any of these might have an impact on the severity of this cycle? The last 2 years I've been able to manage the cycles pretty well with Taurine and Magnesium. I busted the cycle for 2 years 06-07. Before that was Melatonin and B-50s. Any advice from others on heart meds would be appreciated. I dumped the Lo Pressor(Blood pressure meds) and started taking Taurine. Not sure what else to throw on top. Still getting hit and shadowing most of the day. Sporting the droopy eye on the right this time. :( Thanks, Rob |

Oxygen! No side effects. Good for the heart (even necessary). Taurene with some meds has interactions you need to check out.
See the oxygen info button on the left in yellow. At 25 lpm I can knock out a hit in 5-8 mins. Jerry |

I have taken lisinopril for high blood pressure for years and have not noticed any change in severity while actively getting hit. I have been in remission for years now tho. Yes nitroglicerin is known to be a trigger.
