Title: Question on switching sides
Post by lorac on Oct 14th, 2009 at 5:27pm
Ya... My clusters are on the left side, and I am 3 months into my cycle...but lately I feel like I am getting shadows on the right side...but still getting hits on the left.

Is that how it goes for you all who have had them switch sides, or am I just a nervous nelly?
Also if it is switching,,,I wonder if I am in for another whole cycle :-/...    I did start my cycle 4 months earlier than usual.
    I hate this BEAST ! >:(

That's a good question.  I wish I knew myself.  My CH is right sided.  But ever since my last cycle occurred (an oddball one that went from March till April [I'd never had CH in March before this last cycle]), I've been having the occasional shadow on my left side.  Yesterday, here at work, I had a minor CH attack (about Kip 3), on my left side.  Not only was this odd because it happened on my left side, but its intensity and duration were shorter than my typical attacks (my typical CH is Kip 8 or 9, for an hour and a half or so on my right side).  I'm getting a wee bit leery that I might be starting another cycle, in October (I haven't had October CH in several years).

Medical lit. is thin on the question but, overall, changes have no medical significance and not uncommon.

A shift to both sides at the same time may signal development of chronic CH--but even that not written in stone yet.

YIKES...my cycle is also very odd this year...It started in July, and usually is always in OCT...
I also fear that I am starting another whole cycle.  :'(

Jeesh... Sure hope thats not whats happening Bob.
   But thanks for the input.
I don't know how I could handle being cronic.    :( :(

It's a terrible waste of emotional strength to worry about a future which you CANNOT control. All you get is anxiety and fearful anticipation.

I've never had my little friend switch sides but it wouldn't shock me if it happened....just never experienced it.  With CH, I always expect the unexpected.
