Barge on the Mississippi at Natchez.  It was huge!  You can't really see, but there are actually 14 barges together, pushed by the tugboat.

Sunset that evening (Nov. 14).  Went outside to get my sheets off the line and had to run back inside to get the camera!  Not that good, but they sky was gorgeous.

I love sunset pics - I can't ever seem to take enough of them, or sunrises for that matter. They really do make you feel glad to be alive.
Thats one HUGE difference between the UK and the US, I  know it's a latitude thing but here sunsets seem to last for hours but there the sun falls out of the sly like a stone. There have been many, many times I've rushed inside for my camera and still not been quick enough. I guess the moral of the story is don't go outside without it!

They're going north.  Tugboats don't *pull* the barges, they push them.

I missed this one! I guess I need to read this part of the board more often......

Nice work as usual Carolyn, but then you've got the touch for this. How far away from your home is this? Looks like some great photo opportunities there!

Makes me want to dust off my camera and get out to shoot........
