Title: Almost killed 3 cell phones
Post by cynjeep89 on Nov 18th, 2009 at 7:01pm
Started my Christmas shopping late yesterday afternoon.  I went to three stores and in each one of them, I encountered at least one loud yahoo blabbing at the top of their voice on their cell phone.

One woman was talking so loudly, I could hear her the minute I entered the store even though she was in the back of the store.

Why oh why do people feel the need to be so connected 24/7?

The urge to rip the phones out of their hands was so tempting.  Lucky for them I'm not in cycle. 8-)

Now you see why I have given up Christmas shopping, it only feeds commercialism that gives people like that cell phones.

Before I read Paul's response, I was going to say: The moral of the story? No more Christmas shopping.

Great minds and all that....

They drive into our parking lot with cell phone stuck on their ear, which is illegal here in Ontario now:

Then proceed with said cell phone still stuck on their ear and come into the shop talking VERY loud, to impress us I guess on how important they are. [smiley=huh.gif]

After they are done with their own business, then I am ready to do mine and serve them. But not while a cell phone is in use! ;)

Sorry Cyn for rambling on, but I just hate when people do this, I find it very rude. :P

You know....it makes perfect sense at the super market but not on the bus I ride most of the time. It makes the drivers nuts. The only people not yakking on the bus are my age or older.

If my customers shop on line then I will be unemployed :o
But, the garages need parts right away, like 20 minutes ago LOL so that is why we do so well, auto parts delivered within minutes of their phone call. ;)

I used to crack up at the gym, watching this guy running the treadmill for all he's worth, with cellphone hanging on the handrail. I thought, just how the hell important are you, that you even have to be accessible at the gym. (this was before cellphones were as popular as today)

Interesting note, I never saw him take a call, hence not as important as he thought!  8-)

The ladies room - that is the worst.

Hearing a conversation in the next stall over without knowing if she is talking to me is unnerving at best.  Is it any wonder I've become a hermit? ;)

How about when they are walking through the store with one of those bugs in thier ear.  They look like they are talking to themselves.  One day I was in walmart looking at books and I thought this guy standing next to me was talking to me.  When I answered him (he was talking about a book that I had read), I got a dirty look.  That's when I noticed the bug in his ear.  What a jackass!

Ummm....excuse me? I guess I'd have to be counted in your group of cellidiots. At least I know when and when not to use it.

Do you always group people together based on one trait like this?

Apparently an essential to some, for various reasons, an assumption you have one, or questionable comprehending without.

George Carlin said that people with the ones stuck in their ears scared him because with all that yakking, it's hard to tell the schophrenics from the "normal" people....and that what's even harder is dealing with a schophrenic on a cell phone.

Didn't want to start a fight  :(....bummer

Did have a giggle yesterday while I sitting in the eye doc's waiting room.

Posted on the front door of the office and all over the waiting room were signs that read, "As a courtesy to our staff and patients, please refrain from using your cell phone."  I've seen these signs in a lot of places but the request is usually ignored.

One patient whipped out his phone and began babbling to someone about his weekend plans.  A few seconds later, a member of the office staff politely told him if he needed to continue the call, to please step outside of the office.

Cool!!
