Thanks you guys. I'm getting slower, its a week after my birthday and I haven't finished putting together my new trike yet. A Candy Blue Catrike 700, arguably the fastest production trike in the world. I'm putting Rotor Q rings on the front and a SRAM PG - 990 Cassette on the back. And when I get her home a Mueller Windrap GX fairing is going on her. I've had my Red trike up to 58 mph and this trike is much faster. I know of one guy who got his up to 84.6 on Hwy 305. According to his GPS record he posted. Anyway here is a couple of before pictures. I won't really have this thing the way I want till Spring.

Just because I'm growing older, doesn't mean I have any intention of growing up. Besides think of the headaches I give traffic cops. I actually had one that told me it was safer for me to ride on the sidewalk  ;D Imagine me doing 25 or 30 down a sidewalk. What was he thinking?

Be careful Kirk as I was tossed off my MTB at about 5 mph while negotiating a rock climb and fell as hard as I have ever fallen and after 20 weeks still hurt real bad.
Wrap yourself in bubble wrap if you want to go for those high speeds!!!!
Nice bike Kirk! 8-)

Nice thing about trikes Barry is that they come with fall over insurance  ;) At 5 mph and a drop of 2.5 in. I would probably be OK. The Ackerman compensated steering performs really nice at high speed. In the 2.5 miles of the Portland International Raceway there is only a 2 foot altitude change. All things considered, I'm pretty safe. Can't say that about you guys on DFs though. You can fall over. ;)

I'm sorry - but you lot KNOW I'm evil so I'm going to say it anyway..

I am about wetting myself laughing here! I have tears in my eyes and I have hiccups thinking about Kirks little legs whizzing around to get speeds of 84 MPH! Its like speeded up film in my mind!

Hmm.. thinking of the G Force though - you wouldn't have a wrinkle on your face at that speed with no visor now would you?! hmm..
