I really have never noticed that in cycle, my eye really is droopy! 
The first pic was taken 1 week before my cycle hit.  The second is in my 3rd week of the cycle and you can really tell my left is effected.

I'm kinda in shock. It always felt that way, but have people really seen that?  Really.

Edit: I have Iphoto booth, Mac, and was just checking out pics from Thanksgiving and noticed the pre and post pics.

Angela, I know how this is.  My right eye practical shuts close because it tears so much.  My nose drips and my ear swells.  I had just gotten over a hit one year when I was in to see my GP.  She was amazed that even my ear canal was swollen.

when i first suspected CH i started seeing the symptoms in my self. the first was the lovelly shades of red my right eye would go, my pupil goes really small and my eye closes. A stuffed runny nose and my eye starts to tear. Now trying to look into a mirror without smashing my head through it was some achievement. i still remember my wife looking at me with some confusion and telling me my eye was bright red to wich i told her i know dear you shoud see it from my side LOL

Seems typical to me... Like the others these symptoms are something I get. I am not sure my ear swells, but it might I do sence pressure there as i type.

My right eye droops, tears like mad, and the right nostril drips till the sinus turns to concrete. Not much fun...

Ya...thats usually my first hint that one is coming...then I realize that I have been sniffing, then....well you know .....

My wife will sometimes see the eye droop before I even know a cycle is starting!

My whole appearance changes during a cycle.  My right eye never really looses that red tinge.  It is as if there are blood vessels that are broken and never get a chance to heal between hits.  It is always droopy and watery.  My face looks puffy and tired.  People are constantly asking me, " Do you feel alright?" and " What's wrong?"

It's just another joy of our messed up hypothingamajiggy.

I have the droopy, bloodshot eye, along with the swollen face, runny nose, and my face feels wet (sweating?) during a ch.  Hubby can notice it at a glance right from the start without me having to say a thing.  I am always amazed that the kleenex doesn't have any blood on it after wiping my face off.  How can something hurt this bad and there not be blood everywhere?

I am trying to keep a cycle away with rc seeds.  My scalp feels sore and tingly (weird).  Didn't sleep too well the other night.  No visit from the beast, but when I looked in the mirror that morning, my left eye was completely bloodshot and a little droopy.

Beth, I'm sorry.  Sending you all I have that you keep that bastard away.

I noticed today that it is not just my eye that is drooping.  The entire right side of my face seems to have fallen.  My eye brow on the left is now higher than the right.  It's sort of concerning me. ( call me vain )  It is all the time not just while getting hit.  Does anyone else have the drooping to this degree?

ETA:  Will it correct itself after my cycle ends?  Its never been this bad before.

I don't have it this bad, perhaps you should see a doctor for it?

Boo - I've never heard of this level of facial involvement being associated with CH. It might be unrelated and sounds like it might be something to bring up at your headache clinic appointment this week. What you're describing almost sounds like Bell's Palsy (but take that with a grain of salt, cuz I ain't no doctor). From what I've heard, Bell's Palsy almost always resolves by itself.

Yup, the description does sound a little like Bell's Palsy - which I did have in my late teens - which did clear up due to my youth. I met older folks who had it and the droop became permanent. 

My Mom had Bell's Palsy.  What I am experiencing isn't quite as bad as hers was.  My mouth is not as droopy as hers.   I will bring it up at the appt.  It just seems coincidental that it has occurred while I'm in cycle.  It got this bad after the 12 hour back to back hits I took.  I even wondered if I could have done some damage by holding ice on my face for so long.   I put the ice in a bag and hold it directly to my face.  I use a wash cloth to protect my hand from getting too cold. It's just not cold enough if I have the cloth on my face as well.

I think we all have the constantly runny nose and teary eye during a hit to some extent, some more than others. With that said, I do notice that all through my cycle, I always look "stoned". The blood shot eyes, especially the affected side of the attacks. Also, the afflicted side always has a droopy eyelid and eyebrow. I specifically remember the very first cycle I ever had caused my face to be completely flushed (yes I use heat not cold). Everyone at work kept asking if I felt alright or if I was out of breath. It was winter in Michigan so I couldn't pass for sunburnt. It took almost a month after the last hit for it to pass so I just feel all of our bodies deal with it in their own way. I hope this passes for you. Always feel free to see a doc about it, but give it some time before getting to freaked out.
