Title: OH MY GOSH! Post by dm1girl on Dec 7th, 2009 at 10:55pm
I can't believe how well the RC seeds have helped so far!! Husband did his first dose on Saturday, had a tougher episode on Sunday but today he hasn't had anything...SPOOKY!! Of course still way to early to do the happy dance but even 1 day free of pain meds and able to DO things normal is such a great feeling!! I hope this continues! So the question is, IF he has slight/mild headaches the next 5 days, do we still dose again to try and break free completely or will it mess up the status we've achieved?
Have to say husband was pissing me off on how he would use oxygen -or correctly not using oxygen -the days before and day after he dosed. He wouldn't use it if he woke up with one as he thought it was too late and it wouldn't work! I had to drill through him..TRY IT ...So we still don't see eye to eye on the oxygen. I don't think he has faith that it helps. I also can't get him to hyperventilate -he instead takes deep breaths. I know it works for some but I want him to try both ways and figure out which works the best. Thanks for all your help!! Hope this knocks this cycle on its BUTT!! Desiree |

Pretty cool.
If your getting those results with a single dose of seeds wait at least 3 days or untill some symptoms return. Most likely he will start back up with a nagging somewhat continual headache, thats a good time to hit it again. Oxy doesnt work for everyone the same, let him choose the method its his head. |

I'm with MJ on the Oxygen use. Let him figure out how it works for him. We're all different.
Hyperventilation does work for me. But I don't have to use it very often. I do deep breaths like him and only resort to hyperventilating when things are getting out of hand. I also typically use 15lpm and switch to 25lpm as necessary. Don't let his abortive strategy become a battle ground for you two. Like MJ said ... it's his head. Thanks again for being there for him. You are a great supporter. -Dennis- |

Just for what it's worth.......
When I say "hyperventilate" I simply mean that I breathe very deep and very fast at the same time. Think of how you would breathe while running full speed for a good distance. I don't always need to go so extreme, but that's how I can easily kill the hits that get ahead of me because I was asleep. Literally 3-6 minutes and I'm back in bed. Yes, I know that some people don't need to hit it that hard, but I've found that it also keeps the "next hit" away for a MUCH longer. Marc |
