Title: Wish me luck Post by deltadarlin on Dec 17th, 2009 at 9:47am
I am having surgery in the morning (to put it succintly, I'm being spayed).
The situation at work has caused me a great deal of stress and I'm really trying to get into the right *mindset* for this surgery. I will have to stay overnight and I'm not really happy about that, but not much I can do. |

Good vibes coming your way....
Look at the bright side.... They're just taking out the baby carriage, but leaving the playpen intact... :) (Hey come on -- that's what someone told me when I was trying to get psyched up for it!). And you're gonna feel SO much better - on that one you can trust me. You'll be in my prayers in the morning. :-* |

The hospital has WiFi so I will be taking my laptop with me. I am as ready as I will ever be. The bag is packed, the alarm is set, all I have to do is make Jimbo's coffee and reset the timer on the pot.

Ahhh I was spayed 14 years ago in October.........Recovery isn't really all that bad as long as you follow your doctors orders.
I found a heating pad to really help across the tummy to stop alot of the cramps of the clotting/healing process in the first week, and then cold packs after that. Is it a vaginal removal or abdominal incision procedure? Makes a world of difference in recovery, mine was vaginal, and the recovery is much smoother from what I understand. (not like I can compare the two...lol) All the best of healing vibes for a quick recovery going out.......... |

Doc is doing a lap. Sarah was born by emergency c-section, so this is going to be a walk in the park compared to that.
Well, it's time. I need to go dry my hair and get dressed. I"m sleepy and damned sure miss my morning coffee. |

Hey everyone, this is Sarah, Carolyn's daughter. I ganked her account since she apparently hasn't posted. I saw her about 12:30 on Friday and she was doing well, though she was being stubborn as Hell and not wanting to ask for pain meds.
She'll be coming home sometime today (Saturday), but I don't know when. I'd told her I'd post so now I have~ Sarah (deltadarlin's daughter) |
