:)well hello!im not much on comp. but i litteraly cried when i saw this sight and read the writtings describing events during clusters.i am 52 suffered since 18,i am so relived to no people have the xact thoughts and feelings almost perbatum!i was told yrs. back the older they will decrease,i have had a couple of 3 year breaks none since spt.06.only 6 yrs ago did i try imtrx.inj.on me.i thank god even this day.i have now had heart surgey!49,im pretty sure if they come back,ill never mak it through again,my last episode 6 weeks @my highest count in 30 yrs up to 9 injections 24 hrs for a day or so i started w/same as most ,neur. dr. after dr.guinnie pig for yrs till they gave up.finnaly pain meds introduced,amazing for a while xcept you allways came out feeling better than u did before the cluster .gave me guilt complex.during lapses you lose drs. start over try to xplain tortuous pain to a dr. w,a straight face to let him know whats on the way ,i have met 1 dr. out of mayby 30,actually knew ,he grew up w/a father w/ clusters. at the time his father had been free 10 yrs.so just to let some of my new and scared friends know it could be possible you will see an end to this that we all have no explanation for!     mine over time did lead to addition,shortly after intro to immitex i started my path off .after many yrs,.   shortly after that ,i had a sizure of sorts no one had seen or treated,siezd so tight it dislocated my l/shoulder anterioly my r/shoulder posterioly fractuing both humeral heads, and compressing and fracture of L1 80%,months in hsp. and rehab hsp.i fractured 2 more.   i guess my point is after 30 years of torture ,mistrust and nonbelief i feel  as loosing my entire adult life to so much pain and destuction,gave me a bad feeling around drs.i dont feel they believe you w/a past of drugs. ironicly have osteoperosis probly will brk. more but 4 yrs now of totally different pain,will require long term pain meds rest of my life,because of my 35 yr. past its just right back to dr.hopping which u cannot do because of my past ,which no one bothers to ask what my problem was for 35 yrs.now pain mngmt.centers only have to be read by the sec.that answer the phone,u never get to see the phys.to make desicion,or ask question. somewhere this is going to blow up for helpless people w/no say but should @ least have to be xamimened and decided on individual basis by the phys.
   i still get these auro and somewhat of a pain but so far has not fully broke loose,thank u god for getting me through these years w/out making the worst desision that im sure has crossed every suffers mind,i also pray lord that you stay and be beside each and everyone during this time.amen .love u all hope u have understanding and supportive friends it takes speacial people to hang in for the entire term,i know.i have only let 3 people in my life in 36 yrs. to see me like that, and even the best tire of the whole thing after 2 weeks, it a lot to x pect on someone but im sure they all still love and care and for those closest during that thank u and please allways let thm see u havnt abandond.hope i can talk more later but this is my first time experiencing someone else out there we are all alike![color=#cc3366] 8-)[/color]

I've had CH for 30 years and I also find that the time between episodes has mercifully kept expanding. Not to mislead anyone that this sort of good fortune can be expected by all CH'ers as the years fling by.

So yeah you'll like the newer, much more effective high liter flow/non re-breather mask method for using O2 to kill CH attacks. Hopefully you'll see links on the left as you view this page - there's an "oxygen info" one highlighted in yellow that could save yer life and should be treated as gospel.

There's also an imitrex tip there that you'll wish you'd seen during your last bout - it details how to take 1/3 to 1/2 dose injections that are just as effective as full dose, with a lot less risk/expense.

And as anyone here who sees my regular, scathing, anti-doctor rants knows, you sure don't have to convince me that most of these crumb bum doctors are pathetic, ignorant jack asses when it comes to CH. >:(
