I started taking Decadron a little over a week ago.  I am doing a 15 day taper.  Along with this my Verap was increased from 360mg to 540 mg daily.   I have heard of all the usual side effects....  Agitation, constipation, ect.  What I am experiencing is nothing that I have read of though and wondered if any of you have ever experienced this.

I have NO appetite at all and when I eat because I know I should, I cannot taste anything.  Well, I can taste hints of what it should taste like  but it is as if there is a wax barrier keeping the food from getting to my taste buds.  I've lost about a pound a day since changing my meds.  I've been researching it but can find no mention of this type of side effect on line or in any paper work about these meds.

Any thoughts?  I'm perplexed?

I ate everything in sight when I was taking that drug and gained 20 lbs.  God help anyone who tried to stop me, I would have ripped thier head off.  I was scary.

Give the Dr. a call and see what he says.

verap left me with my skin feeling numb all over and it also made me shaky and jumpy and I'm only on 40 mg per day , so it can have some odd effects on some people.
I am also told the side effects will ware of after a couple of weeks for most once your body gets use to it , but it was not the case for me .
