I just started imitrex injections.  Both times I have taken it, within two minutes of injecting it, my sinus's feel like they are so dry.   Like so dry that they hurt a little.  It usually only lasts 10 minutes or so but I just found it odd. 
Any one else have the same symptoms after taking imitrex?  Its the only side effect that I have noticed so far which is great, just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. 

Hehe, I know exactly what you mean. It's a strange feeling, almost like your nose and sinuses are tingling/slightly burning? I always feel the urge to sneeze after using an injection... and it does hurt a little. In my opinion, i'll take the funny sinuses over a CH.

Yeah, I get the same thing. Dry sinuses > CH by far!

I use a little saline nasal spray immediately if I can. It helps with the stinging.

Unless your doc advises, I would not change products nor worry.

Imitrex works well for CH because it's formulated to hit fast and hard to really punch the CH when it's most needed.

A secondary effect is that blood vessels are constricted for a short time. This will give the effect of drying of nasal passages, the chest tension which worries some folks (but which has reported as NOT a heart problem or threat).

The pill form works for many but reports here are more strongly in favor of the injection form.

Yeah me too.  Almost a sence of smelling some sort of weird vapor sensation or something and kind of uncomfortable but goes away quickly :)

I would either sneeze or throw up, so I just quit using it  :)
