Hey all,

I'm back (obviously because I'm in a new cluster boo) lurking and I was just wondering if anyone had a 15lpm regulator they could part with.  Had a nightmare situation with ebay over the holidays so I really don't want to order one off there.  More than willing to pay a fair price for it (via any method).

May I suggest you consider a 25lpm or higher instead since you are buying your own?  I can kill a hit in about 5-8 mins at 25lpm as opposed to 15-20 at 15lpm.  Even if you don't need all of the oxygen you have it available when the beast changes.

We just bought a regulator from Harbor Freight (0-200 PSI) made by Chicago Electric Welding Systems for $30.00. Not as nice as a demand valve, but for $30.00. . . .

That one sold out, but here is another welding regulator for $40 with a CGA-540 fitting which is the SAME as large medical O2 tanks like the "M" tank. It won't fit smaller tanks like the "E" without an adapter, but those are readily available too.

This regulator can supply way more O2 than any human can breathe, so just open the valve s l o w l y until you reach a comfortable breathing rate.

This regulator needs have a barbed fitting added to the threads in the lower left side in the picture, in order to connect to the mask tubing - it's a simple hardware store item.

Edit to add: Here is a link to an adapter to connect CG-540 regulators (medical OR welding) to small medical tanks like the "E."

Armed with this adapter, you can use a cheap welding regulator to get 8 lpm to unlimited flow from welding tanks, large medical tanks and small medical tanks too. Pretty universal setup.

Keep in mind that all of the above only applies in the USA. Other countries use different thread systems.
