Title: Drug coupons
Post by jlovins on Jan 19th, 2010 at 9:10pm
Here's a link for drug coupons provided by my insurance company.  START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE

The coupons really work!  I take Topamax (you either love it or hate it!).  After reaching my maintenance dose, I asked my nurse at work to re-write the script to a 90 day supply (I got 120 100mg pills with 3 refills.  I take 150 mg nightly.  I take 1 and 1/2 pills each night...)  With my insurance and the coupon (above link), a $1000 retail supply only cost my $10, for a 80 day supply of Topamax!

Also, ask your doctor to write your scripts for higher mg and ask if you can cut the pills.  It will lower your overal out-of-pocket costs.  But just know that some meds cannot and should not be split.  Discuss with your doctor before cutting any pills!

That's my story with the coupons, but there are MANY MORE drugs on there other than Topamax and CH meds.  Good luck and God bless!   ;)

Anybody can write a script if it has the doctor's signature on it.

Yes...I guess I should have clarified that.  My nurse at work is a FNP-BC, Family Nurse Practioner-Board Certified.
