Title: Potatoes and the birthing pool Post by cavalier on Feb 20th, 2010 at 7:51pm
I was standing at the sink the other day peeling potatoes for my daily 5, don’t know about you but we have a TV in the kitchen (sad I know) and of course was watching some topical program chosen by my beloved.
After about the fifth potato my back was killing me, “does anyone get the same?” Thought I’d try my exercise routine. “Left leg up, touch the sink” one two “Right leg up, touch the sink“three four. “Shake your hips” five six It was getting rather chilly so I popped on my underwear and a pair of favourite potato peeling tights. Now what caught my attention was the subject matter on the TV. Women and birthing pools have not been a fascination of mine to say the least but it wasn’t my choice in the first place. (Know what I mean boys) Having not lived in a cave I’m pretty familiar with the facts of life and am pretty aware that if we as a civilised culture want to exist, there is a need for the female of the sexes to put themselves out occasionally to expand the human race. With what I could see a lot of grunting and needless groaning was taking place. To think they have a choice of birthing beggars belief it’s no wonder the health service costs so much. If you look through history the male side of things hasn’t changed a jot. I mean, do we complain. As long as it doesn’t take too long and we can have a little nap afterward “No problem” In the mean time the missus said “Do you want this rare” Thought about it and said “ Better make it well done” Funny old world init. |

An apron front sink would break you of that naked potato peelin habit.

Did try the apron today Potter although i did find it slightly warmer, the back was a little rough,
Maybe someone could invent a fleecy lined one, you know the type...Big slippers are lined with it. Must be angora though... i do have a little allergy to nylon |

Now, there's coffee all OVER the keyboard, and I have visions of a big ole hairy Englishman in tights and a tutu-with the backside cut out, GIVING BIRTH.......in a birthing pool, no less........ Oh, the humanity!!!!!!!!! Back when my vision clears....... Cathi :D |

LMAO. Yes Charlie, Colin is beyond hope but he really does change the dynamics of this place once and a while doesn't he?
I actually look forward to the diversion when he posts something Cathi. But then again I am weird. |
