Beautiful craftmanship. I love going to quilt shows. Have made several quilts but I don't do hand quilting. Machine or tied is the best I get to.
Thanks for sharing Carolyn. Carol |

Wow, those are awesome. I love the one with the cats.
I have one my mother made me last year - to replace one that tattered over the years that her grandmother had made me when I was a little girl. I don't think I've taken pictures of the old one, but here's a picture of the new one (although folded). I have it at the foot of my bed for a take-a-nap quilt. ![]() |

Sunbonnet Sue! I love that quilt pattern. Always wanted to make it for a granddaughter. Sadly - I have 3 granddaughters - all tomboys!!! Not a girly-girl in the lot of them. May have something to do with the 7 grandsons that keep the girls toughened up!

Actually, my great-granny that made me the original one was from Canada too! My family was from Brantford, Ontario. I'll take a picture of it later. One of these days when I have unlimited resources (ha!) I'd like to get it restored. It was on my bed for years and well, when you see the picture, you'll understand. |

There's a place not far from here - St. Jacob's - that is an old Mennonite town. They do quilt restorations there as well as making new ones and selling them. I can't even imagine what it would cost to do that.
Nice to know you have some ties to Canada. |

Christy,
What needs to be done to the quilt? |

Okay, yeah, restoring that quilt would take a bit of effort. I'd still probably call around. YOu might be able to find a quilting club that would be willing to restore it.
