We lost one here this week - responding to a call for back-up and wrapped his car around a pole after colliding with another vehicle. He leaves a wife and 3 year old son.
To serve and protect is the motto and yet when they most need protection it doesn't seem to be there. God Bless all our law enforcement people. |

Very sad, I have family and friends in law enforcement and this is always the fear but without such brave people taking on that risk we would all suffer. It is often a thankless job but even people that hate them expect them to come to their aid when they need help. Thank god we have men and women that answer the call to serve and protect others even the ones who don’t want it. My prayers are with the family of the officer and my heart goes out to them. :-[

Officer JR Searcy was removed from life support at 10:40 pm Saturday after a brain scan Saturday morning showed no brain function. As requested by Officer Searcy, he became an organ donor. He leaves behind a wife and 3 children.
