Title: 16 YO Sufferer Post by Getworked on Mar 29th, 2010 at 3:51pm
hi everyone, right now I'm writing this in between headaches. I woke up at 9AM with a really bad one today, Finally, I was able to pass out at 10:30AM. At 9 I took some Excedrin migraine, because sometimes I chew it and the caffeine helps. Anyway I slept from 10:30 to 12. Woke up shadow is still there. A lot of pain from the shadow but only like a 5 on the kip scale. By 12:40PM I'm in full blown Stage 10 Rip my eye ball out of my head pain. I passed out around 1:30 and now I'm up at 3:00PM. The shadows here, I don't know what to do. The amount of trexime I get is only 9 pills a month, I used one yesterday and I can't run out. What if it gets worse? I found this site, and I'm so happy that there will be people that can relate to me. I can't explain a pain like this, my friends don't understand what I go through I just look like an idiot smashing my head. I haven't been diagnosed I'm waiting to go to the neurologist on April 16th, I'm on the cancellation list in case anyone cancels Ill get right in. I do have all the symptoms of cluster headaches, but I'm also sensitive to light, it doesn't help but I feel like I bang my head less. As soon as I read the symptoms of a cluster headache I knew that this was me and these people understood me. And I'm so happy to have found people who understand what I go through. I'm hoping that this cycle ends soon its been nearly a month

Just a minute.....Lymes disease can manifest with headaches that mimic cluster. I knew a gentleman who was miss-diagnosed with CH but once his Lymes was treated his headaches ended.
I really hope the same holds true for you. But if not...still get thee to a good neuro headache specialist for a firm diagnosis. Energy drinks with taurine and caffeine. At 16 years old, without your parents full support, getting O2 without a script will be difficult, but talk to them and get them on the site to talk and folks here will walk them through the steps. Keep us posted. |
