Title: Just a few pictures_more added

*Spring* is an understatment.  My Cherokee rose started blooming a few days ago and it is covered in buds and blooms.  This will be the last year that it looks like this.  Sometime this summer, we will be taking it down to the ground (and that will be a feat in itself, considering that it's over 30' long, about 30 ' tall and about 15 ' thick).  I will start over with a cane cutting.

There's a bunch of them that have nests in that conglomeration, for sure!

Any chance you could bring a couple of cuttings with you to Atlanta?  That is a beautiful rose, and I wouldn't mind planting a couple  myself.

I can try.  Keep in mind though, it is a rambler and if you don't work really hard to keep it cut back, you'll have a monstrosity in your back yard.  It has no natural enemies, tolerates drouth and too much water.  No diseases really effect it.  Don't feed it or water it once it's well established.  Another note, if one of the canes hits the ground, it will automatically root.  I have some more pics that I need to upload.

Believe it or not, it is about to choke out the honeysuckle (I believe it could choke out kudzu if given half a chance).

Just a few more.  It's blooming like crazy!  Down side is that it only blooms for about 2-3 weeks, 4 at the very most.  It is an evergreen though, it never loses its' leaves.  Oh, and BTW, the thorns are wicked~they are hooked at the end and a B**** to get out if you ever get one.
