Kids and I heard what we can only discribe as an explosion through the window on the north side of the apartment. Not to say it came from the North, but anyway...

We could hear the sound of the "boom". We all 3 looked up and asked..."what the hell was that".

Any news would be appreciated.

Maybe it was South and it was the New Madrid fault waking up?

It has been a long while and the next one is supposed to be a real biggie ;)

There have been several instances of this lately. People are talking about it like in the 1960s when everybody couldn't wait for the next sonic boom.

Not like 1957 when people watched for Sputnik every night, but curious.

I scoured the police reports from the last 24 hour and there is nothing anywhere that could explain it. Possibly nothing more than a blow out of a tire. I'm not too far from the highway, after all.

All I know, is that he 3 of us all heard it and it stopped us in our tracks.
