Title: Response
Post by cavalier on Apr 17th, 2010 at 7:16pm
It seems I made a lot of people stressed in my madness of suicide.
Did I think of those that I affected,”No”
Would you expect someone in that state to think of others, not really?
How many go through this without letting others know….
Just because I was able to send my last moments on this site” To be honest I don’t remember anyway.
Would you really know anyway if I just didn’t post anymore?
At the end of the day I’m just text to you.
We’ve never met and not likely too.
I’m just talking to a curser.

Please don’t judge like some?
Trying to get my head and life back on track.
Colin
Ps quite fancy the water reed coffin if it comes to it and Floyds wish you were here sound track.
Maybe I ought to think about that selection…

Ahhh, but you may have missed the point. The good folks here DO see more than text and black squiggles. THAT is why the reaction - not because there is/was no caring. Get that straight first and foremost!

Colin, if you were indeed on the brink that night - I for one am glad you are still here. I can promise you that I am not the only one.

People play games on the net and it can be hard to determine which is what and what is which ......

Be open, be real and you can be here.

OK, based on the three four PM's, one email that I've gotten and this post, I am obviously out of the loop.

Pretty secret stuff.  Is he CIA, IRS, IRA, BBC, BBB, BSBC, ASPCA?

This is one place that always called BS when it was. Now it seems to be politically correct which means that we have wonder who to is being honest.......

Guess I'm done ranting for now.

I'm just gonna step in here real quick and say a few things before this gets WAY out of control.

Having had contact with Colin's wife during what seemed to be a VERY difficult time for him (and his family), I don't think ANYONE has the right to send a PM, (or post), information that didn't come from the source...only speculation.  You weren't there, you don't know the facts, so I believe that everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.  And for the record, it's not secret stuff, it's called being respectful to someone that was maybe going through a rough time...why is that so hard to do?  It's not "politically correct" to air out someones laundry...

I find it disheartening that a person would actually judge or question someone that shows or tells signs of suicidal thoughts or actions.  So until you're there, or in the situation, NO ONE has the right to judge or question what happened, or didn't.

You quoted my words, so it obvious that you were pointing at me.

I didn't make it public.
I didn't say anything negative about Colin to his face, in PM's or behind his back.
I didn't judge him - ask what I said publicly and in PM's

Have a nice day.

I'm sorry you felt that my post was pointing fingers at you Marc, it was NOT my intention...more of a blanket/frustrated statement.

Hey Colin, really glad to see you posting and hopefully your personal circumstances will take a turn for the better soon. Marc, I also think its shame that you’re leaving. It's a world wide support group and within that you have every type of religious and political beliefs us mad humans can muster up...! Yeah, we won't always agree but one place I see all of us in general agreement is the “Getting to know ya section"

I really hope to see you both posting again..

Glad you are back Colin. The best to you and those who love and care about you.

Having lost my two brothers to suicide my choice would be "Wish you were Here"

I hope Marc saw that it wasn't directed at him and returns soon.

Colin: I do think you have to realize that this place is not a usual message board.  People do care and even newbies are cared about.  I hope you will find out more as you move forward and not make it a practice to call out people in public.

Peace.

No judging from me Cavalier.
Glad your still here, life and our minds take some strange turns at times. Then it turns back.
Its interesting how different things can seem when others start to tiptoe around the issues.
I have never been in your shoes but have known a lot of folks to wear similar brands over the years.
Joy fades, Hope never ends, wisdom pushes through and life continues on untill spring when the new blooms appear and a light begins to shine anew in our souls

Maybe you could advise Marc on the best pygamas to get.

Marc, dont really know you, but I and I'm sure many hundreds more sure appreciate the help and positive attitude you give to so many.
