Title: Thanks for the fish and everything... Post by wimsey1 on Apr 28th, 2010 at 8:20am
Sorry, Hitchhiker. Just borrowing a phrase. Anyway, I didn't know where to post this so I'll post it here. I do want to thank all ya'll, esepecially Redhawk, Brew, Bob, Dj and Batch. And everyone kind enough to post and reply on this forum. That's it for the amenities.
I saw Dr Paul Rizzoli yesterday. He is the Director of the John R. Graham Headache Clinic in Boston, and very knowledgable about Clusters. He accepted everything I had to say, anticipated most of what I wanted to ask, and answered everything else with a professional and direct manner. Others here have seen him, as well. I would definitely recommend him for the next phase, once you have exhausted your own neuro's knowledge and patience, or even before you reach that point. And just for the record: he switched me from nortriptyline to amytriptyline (sp?), liked but wanted to monitor my increases in Verapamil; and began ordering a nerve block for me at my local pain clinic. He also answered directly and without judgment questions I had on RC seeds, and agreed to look into Dr Halpern's study. That's it for now, I'm gone! wimsey1 |

Gone? Where are you going? Stick around to help support others the way you have been helped.
Hope you find the relief you are seeking and don't be a stranger. Hang around a while. |

Sorry...should have said, Gone for now! I'm a true firefighter, like many of all ya'll. I'll be here to add whatever value I can to assist in attacking the blazing beastie! Wimsey1

That's good news on both fronts. Just getting a doctor to listen to you with an open mind is such a treat! Good name to keep in mind for all CH'ers in that area.
