I'm so sick of hearing all this crap about the "Don't ask- Don't Tell" ... in the military... It SHOULD have been repealed a LONG time ago and what's the BIG deal. WHY does it have to be STUDIED to see if it will affect the way the military is being operated? Why should it CHANGE a damn thing?

How many GOOD soldiers have been KICKED out because they were guilty of being gay? Some had 18 years service (no bad marks and had given most of their lives to service of their country). Some were DECORATED combat vets... but all they were guilty of was being GAY! IMO - this is just WRONG!!!

Now, although it's been put through Congress (reluctently) it has to be STUDIED and decided if this is going to work if it's repealed! Hey - CLUE -- we've got two wars going on, a BAD immigration problem, people wanting to blow us up -- who gives a damn if the guy protecting your back is gay or straight - I imagine the LAST thing on his mind is SEX right now!!!!

To me this should just be a no-brainer... I mean - who the hell are they going after next???

Anything to use as a political football. You're right. You're right too that people want us dead and it's time we got everyone on the same page as I'm convinced that this is a long term thing. A little more "let's pull together" please.
