Joe and I are enjoying a weekend getaway in VT. I had to work back-to-back weeks at my office in MA so he flew out for the weekend. We rented a log cabin home from one of my co-workers. Having a nice time!

Are you sure that is Vermont? It looks like Kentucky to me minus the humidity I would imagine.

What a great time you must be having. I am so jealous. Go jump in a lake, go skinny dippin, catch some trout, have a glass of wine while watching the sun set.  Play checkers, forget about internet,  (oops...she obviously brought it with her)   Row a boat, practice uphill bicycle riding ( ;))  buy some Vermont Maple syrup and look down on all of us.  it's o.k.  sniff-sniff...we are happy for you.  no really we are...

Actually, you know, since I am SO MUCH YOUNGER than dear Joe, I have a few good years left in me to work. And...it's still fun. :)

Today we toured two breweries - Harpoon and Long Trail Brew Co. We also visited a glass and pottery place - Simon Pierce (oh how I would have loved to buy dishes there!).

I just got a blank page when I clicked on your link, so I googled Simon Pearce pottery and wow...pretty pricey, aren't they?  Like 45.00 for one small plate, 35.00 for a coffee mug. 

Glad you guys are having such a good time. 

Pictures might require flash or something Linda. But oh yea, this really nice set of wine glasses, $78 each. More than I could afford to have someone break!

I did like the dishes though, but yes $140 per placesetting - more than my china!

That looks like my type of weekend getaway.. :)
