Title: I hate summer
Post by Headache Boy uk on Jul 3rd, 2010 at 9:45pm
It's been 30 c + for the last 2 weeks about 89% humidity and we've had no rain to speak of for at least a month.

I've been working out side in the full sun and getting strong shadows almost constantly . with that and the heat I've been walking round like a zombie and it's almost impossible to concentrate on what I'm doing.

To top it all the company I work for has decided to offer solar panels as an optional extra on the houses we build.
So muggins here gets the job of fitting them , well, on a black slate roof in the full sun (32c) and fitting solar panels ,you cant imagine the heat , burnt my fingers through my gloves !

How the hell do people cope with this in hot countries , bring on the cold frosty January mornings.

Ok whinge over

Nigel

Roll on summer, I've had enough of the NZ winter. It's freezing cold and we've had one frosty morning so far but enough rain to make up for the very dry summer we just had.

Yes, it's winter down under.

Nigel has nothing on western New York State.

It was 92/36 up here today. To be sure, we get this kind of temperature maybe once or twice a year but this is looking to be the hottest summer in years. Last summer we had a hard time getting past 65/18 or so. This is a usually pretty temperate area with 75/25 or so weather.

Or on the south.  30 c/86 F would be a cool spell here!  We've consistently had days of 95 F + (35 C) for several weeks now and we haven't even hit the hot part of summer yet.

I recently learnt that our average rain fall for our area is 350mm/ 14" per year , that's less than saudi arabia !

not been feeling quite so bad lately ,getting use to it a bit now I guess . Still hate working in it though.
