Urghhh  I can't tell you how peaved I get when I hear how many people have trouble getting access to 02 either from their 'headache specialist' or insurance company.  Luckily I'm in Australia and so it's not a problem for me, but I get so miffed that it is a problem for so many. 

Is there something we as a community can do to recitify this??  Surely one of the knowledgable doctors (who attends the conferences or something) would endorse a petition or something??  Or am I just wasting my breath??

i just bypass all the bullshit and go straight to the welders o2. i read so many posts about people having problems getting it. or if they do get it they get the 8 or 10 lpm regs. i dont even mess with em. dont have the time >:(

Same here I had an account with BOC Gasses for welding gas & beer gas & simply walked in & ordered a bottle of Med Oxy & used a welding oxy reg, still do if needed.

Yeah I know that's what people are having to do - in the mean time doctors are denying people the one abortive that just may well work and has no side effects!!  I wish we could do something on mass to wake them up and make 02 a standard, recognised, abortive across the medical community!   Ranting I know  :P

The problem with a lot of doctors here in the states is that they want to push you to use pharmaceutical drugs rather than this wonderful natural therapy.  They are too many "kick-back doctors" who bypass O2 even if they believe it works.  It's a corrupt, greedy world

Absolutely true Chad......several years ago I did an internship at a doctors office after attending Medical Coding and Insurance Billing school.......the office manager had "pharm reps" lined up to provide breakfast and lunch for the whole damned office 2 weeks ahead!!!!  It was a nice side benefit but the whole purpose was so the rep could get the docs to sit down and eat so they could push their meds!!

I believe that most DO NOT believe it to work well and because of that do not prescribe it. Heck....we have people posting to the effect that they don't want to fool with tanks and masks even after reading the posts of our successes here. To be honest, I was one of them....for a while.

To address Kate's question, the oxygen suppliers need to follow the same route as the drug companies. Marketing in today's world is everything. "Oxygen....it's not just for people that can't breath."
