Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it was at all effective.
Thanks |

There's a very verbal advocate "out there" who was publically claiming certain results, which have been never reproduced. A large and extensive study was done in Vancouver for the Canadian health system that rather strongly confirmed this treatment is not accectable for coverage for any ailment. I believe there may be one here who gave it a try who's still here and has never promoted it.

I had my wifes friend do this to me a couple a years ago when I was also giving chiro a whirl. Well, as it feels great, it did nothing for my CH. It would be a great cranial massage to get after a cluster cycle :)

I tried it at the urgeing of a friend. It did nothing for me either. I dont think that chiropractic care or this method have a place for helping clusters. Waste of time and money.

I can't even scratch my head when I'm getting hit, or where a hat that won't blow off in the wind or it can kick off a hit. I can't imagine anyone in cycle letting anyone near their head or neck. lance

Interesting to hear people say that they can't stand having their head touched during an attack. I find that it helps ( for a nano second only sometimes) to apply strong pressure to my right temple, nose or the occiput of my skull depending on where the pain is radiating to. Can't touch the eye though.

Yeah I can't stand others touching my head. The school nurse tried to help by holding an ice pack against my neck but I felt, well I don't really know how to explain it, it's not discomfort it feels like an invasion of your space but worse.
I on the other hand have my hands constantly on my head or neck. |

I'm a chronic CH sufferer using oxygen, and i have been having sacral cranial therapy once or twice a week for the last 3 months or so, and i have found it very helpful.
I have found that the headaches have decreased in intensity, and frequency, and decreased my need for oxygen They are still mostly a daily event, but, usually just one attack, as opposed to up to three, sometimes there is more than 36 hours between attacks! I hope someone else finds this helpful. |
