Original report: A man on crutches, wearing what appeared to be a large bib emblazoned with Elmo, the Sesame Street character, attempted to rob pain medication from a Billings pharmacy Monday afternoon.

The suspect’s face and neck also were painted green.

The white male suspect came into the Walgreens pharmacy at 1330 Grand Ave. just before 3 p.m. He told the pharmacist that he was in a lot of pain and demanded a particular pain medication. He claimed to have a firearm but did not show it.

When the pharmacist refused to turn over the medicine, the man fled the store. He got into a 2000 Subaru Outback station wagon that was green with gray plastic trim on the lower portion of the vehicle.

The man was described as about 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds. He appeared to be in his 20s and had a moustache or light facial hair. His face and neck in both the front and back were painted green. He had dark hair and was wearing a black basketball cap with a white insignia.

Now it makes it hard to believe he also really has green skin.  The Elmo bib seems a credible need though.

Funny how feigning crutches and a gun (even if, would have sold it for drugs), painted poster paint green and wearing a bib in an attempt to be sympathetically intimidating overruled a decision to seek help.  Drugs do run out anyway.

But then I'm not in five-day-old socks of those squishy shoes.  Anymore.  Bibs and green-painted skin are suddenly trivial if within thirty feet when the shoe are removed.  He didn't think, a persuading weapon.
