The heart is me and my life, the dagger is my pain and the things I've been hurt by, the butterfly is my happiness and my blessings, the barbwire is how much I protect myself, and the ivy tangled in the wire is how beauty doesn't escape me just because I'm guarded. I've had the idea since I was little but he drew it in a way I hadn't quiet pictured before and I love it. Anyone that wants good work near Alfred, NY, Luke is your man.

Leave it to me to notice stuff like this but in the 2nd. pic? You need some sunshine girl.

Also If I am honest (and you know I am) I don't like tats at all. But I do like the symbolism Felciia.

I'm with Linda. I don't care for tats, but you have a way of expressing yourself that runs very deep. Beautiful symbolism.

Felicia, the symbolism is quite poignant and very impressive and refreshing coming from youth today. My 18 y/o would not likely be able to express the same kind of thing in anywhere near as succinct and touching a way as you have done with both the words and the art to symbolize them.

Must admit though, the parent in me jumped out at me, like with Linda and Jerry, I'm not a fan of tattoos for myself, but have seen beautiful ones for those who are suited to them - and you need some sunshine and what on earth are you doing exposing so much skin in a picture on the internet?? LOL

Give your Dad a hug from me - heroes seem to run in your bloodline ;)
