POLK COUNTY FLORIDA SHERIFF GRADY JUDD
An illegal alien in Polk County Florida who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him.  The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. 
Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed.
A state-wide manhunt ensued.
The murderer was found hiding in a wooded area and as soon as he took a shot at the SWAT team, officers opened fire on him.  They hit the guy 68 times.
Naturally, the liberal media went nuts and asked why they had to shoot the poor undocumented immigrant 68 times.

Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel: ‘Because that's all the ammunition we had…'  Now, is that just about the all-time greatest answer or what!
The Coroner also reported that the illegal alien died of natural causes...
 
When asked by a reporter how that could be since there were 68 bullet wounds in his body, he simply replied: (BEST QUOTE of 2009) ...

"when you are shot 68 times you are naturally gonna die."

I love it. The cororner could have also stated "Death by suicide" because one should know that if they point a gun at law enforcement, let alone pull the trigger, they are risking death.

That falls under the category "suicide by Cop" and is a recognized problem.  One wants to end his/her life, but doesn't have the guts to do it themselves, so put themselves into a situation that Law Enforcement does it for them.  Then the officer has to live with it.

I lived in Polk County for 5 years. Interesting place. A combo of big industry, tech industry, and rednecks who think Pizza Hut is an Italian restaurant. Dangerous place, too. This is not the first time (and I am afraid it will not be the last) when a police officer is shot and killed in an orange grove. Lots of armed and dangerous there. Migrants, immigrants, homebodies who are still fighting the Civil War. Lots of really good folks, too. "He needed shootin'" is still a viable defense there. We live in strange times, man. lance

No offense meant, deltadarlin. Not so much a shot against being a redneck (Virgina born, FL raised) as it was Polk County's lack of good Eyetalian! Stars and bars forever, along with the 50 Star Flag! lance

It was in Polk County. But the best pizza came from a place called Richie's Northern Pizza. He even imported water from NY to make his dough. Darned thing about it is I can't find as good a pizza here up north, and unless they're buying water from FL, I can't figure that one out. Blessings! lance
