ok, im in alot of pain right now, so this is gonna be short. starting yesterday the pain has moved into my teeth just on my right side, about 4 on top and 4 on bottom. they have so much pressure i cant even close my mouth without it hurting. and now its pretty much a constant pain, with a little relief every now and then. ice helps. :(

So sorry Bob, isn't it a dirty trick that pain keeps you up but a lack of sleep makes dealing with pain more difficult? Completely unfair, my sympathies!
It doesn't sound like classical cluster headache pain to me- I hope you have an appointment with a doctor or dentist today so you get some relief! Pain free wishes for you. Hang in there. |

CHs involve the trigeminal nerve that runs to three areas of the face: eye, nose and jaw. When it gets jangled, we feel pain in one, two or all three areas. Some of us, way back in the dark ages of our suffering, followed the wisdom of having teeth removed as the potential cause of our pain. It wasn't, and I'm now sans teeth in some areas of my mouth. Not surprising you'd feel pain there. And trigeminal nerve pain can be surprising in its variety. It is truly horrendous. Talk with your headache specialist about this. I have found even that pain, though, is moderated significantly by O2 and triptans. Blessings in your sorrow! lance

There was a point in time that the ER staff knew me by name. I always hated going because they take forever since you're not bleeding, your leg is not cut off, etc... but once they give you the right medicines and the pain goes away, it's worth it! I just hope you have good insurance :) |

ok, so i said it was hurting my teeth, now my jaw is sooo sore underneath my mouth. its sore like when you have a swollen gland and its hard to swallow, but there is no swollen gland down there that i can feel. it just feels like ive been chewing gum nonstop and it made my jaw worn out. its hurt my teeth before but never underneath my jaw, im kinda confused

im so confused. my headaches are what i would call gone(YAY!!!!) now like i said earlier the bottow of my jaw is so fricken sore and theres about 4 teeth on the bottom that are so sensitive. im going to the walk in clinic this morning because my face has now swollen up on my right side, i can only open my mouth about half way. i have never had this happen before. if i remeber correctly i think i had sore teeth before and i thought it was from clenching them together, but i have no idea why my face is swollen. i will let you guys know what i find out when i get back from the walk in clinic
