I had my last attack in July this year after about a 2 month episode - which funnily enough ended when I was half way through my holidays (I wasn't feeling stressed but the holiday helped).  For anyone coming to this site new - pay heed - Red Bull helps!  Getting your Doctor to prescribe O2 definitely helps - fortunately I live in the UK and have an NHS doctor that is VERY up to date with all headache matters.
I am posting out of guilt I am afraid guys - once the last episode stopped I wanted to forget about it in case I bought it on again.  JUST A BIG THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOU THAT HELPED ME THROUGH THOSE LONELY PAINFUL NIGHTS EARLIER THIS YEAR.  I hope that you are all in remission and having some fun times.  Much respect and love Eddie

Thanks for the update, and I hope the beast never returns.  I understand not wanting to be around when out of cycle, but may I respectfully suggest it would be good for you to hang around for those who ARE in cycle and could use your encouragement?  It is also a good way for you to keep up with what is going on so you don't have to come back in a panic to find out what is new if the beast does return.

Eddie, my last episode coincided with yours -- For over two months this summer I was in agony most of the time.  The episode ended in early August and I've been pain-free since then.  This group was a godsend -- I've now got a standing prescripton for oxygen and have a decent stockpile of injectible sumitriptan on hand.  There's a Red Bull in the back of the fridge and I've stayed on verapamil (as a blood pressure medication, but perhaps it's keeping the CH at bay).  I've been scarce around here lately, and thought I'd check in and see what's going on.  I'm always a bit scared that the CH will return without warning, but have come to gently greet that fear when it arises, put it aside, and keep going.  When/if they come back, I feel prepared and informed -- I count this group as the source of my knowledge and should/will stop by more often.  Jim
