Taking some extended family members out to cut down Christmas trees from our small tree farm, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, an overnight shopping trip with just me and my husband, baking cookies and Christmas music on demand. [smiley=grin2.gif]

Miracle on 34th Street .. it was on (in B&W) Thanksgiving Day and I sat and watched every minute of it.... still great...

And of course "Rudolph" with the kids.. Always cry...

But mainly the kids... Chase is one this year and taking in everything... He loves the "noise" thingys... We're getting NUTZ with "Grandmaw got Run Over by a Reindeer", but he loves it. And Caleb is excited "How long till Christmas?" about everything... we have to make a new ornament for the tree every day... "Can I open just ONE present?" And it's NOT even December yet!!! :-*

With out "HARDY'S Reindeer Ranch (about 25 miles from me)

I just love taking my youth group up there to see the  herd of Alaskan Reindeers. They have buggy and hay rides, and tons of other things included a corn maze... The gift shop is actually heated with a old pot-belly stove..

We always end our day at the the old western style Restaurant, where we are served our food on a tin plate and our drinks in a tin cup..

Seeing real live reindeers make the season more real for me the children ::) ::) ::).

Going on my 22nd straight year of working for Santa's mystery elf, FedEx Express, I have developed a bit of Scrooge attitude toward the holidays. So I guess I would have to say that the Holidays wouldn't be the same without the double scotch I rapidly consume on Christmas Eve, after the last package has run the sort (assuming I'm not in cycle).

Snow - living in NC, I really miss a white Christmas.

Also, daddy taking his daughter(s) out to lunch and shopping for their Christmas dress.  Tarey began this with our daughters when they were about two years old, and I am so happy that both of my sons-in-law are following that tradition with their daughters, who are both now two years old.  It's a daddy/daughter day that both daddy and daughter remember with love and want the tradition to continue.
